Renter's Insurance

If you rent your home, your landlord should already has insurance on the building.
However, the landlord's policy only covers the dwelling, not the property inside, that is your personal belongins.

The renter's insurance provides protection if your personal property is damaged, stolen, or destroyed;
it covers damages due to smoke, fire, weather, riots, falling objects, and a variety of other problems.
Like most homeowners insurance policies, renters insurance does not typically cover flooding or earthquake damage, and
it will pay, in part or all, your living expenses if your home should become unlivable.

The coverage may also include liability protection, which covers injury to another person on your property.
Additionally, your policy may include medical payments coverage that pays for medical expenses of people who don't live with you,
but who are injured on your property.
